I run around in a brand new Minecraft 1.8 Pre-Release world. If you'd like the pre-release 1.8, here are some instructions for Windows 7 users: Close out of minecraft. Download assets.minecraft.net and save the file. Go to C:\UsersYOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming and copy the .minecraft folder somewhere (this is a backup in case something gets broken). No go into .minecraft\bin, and replace minecraft.jar with the one you downloaded. And you should be good to go.
